I have had the pleasure of working alongside Dr. Avant for the last couple of years, first as a surgical nurse and now as a nurse in the recovery room. I work with a number of talented physicians who take excellent care of their patients, but to say I enjoy working for Dr. Avant would be an understatement. It is easy to work for a physician whose number one goal is a safe and positive patient outcome. He is a believer of reserved medicine, and if possible tries all options before surgery. His attention to detail is precise and he not only cares about his patient's results, he is also conscious of their time and money. I wanted to write this testimonial because I have seen his work from both a medical and a patient's perspective. I believe it speaks volumes when nurses who work with a physician regularly, who not only witness patient outcomes, but also witness what happens behind the scenes-when patients aren't watching- are then comfortable being treated by that same physician. That is certainly the case here. Not only would I feel comfortable under his care, I would (and have) send my family to see him as well. In fact, he has treated my father, mother, brother, and brother's girlfriend. We joke he is our "family physician" and my fiance' and I are just waiting our turn. I can without hesitation recommend Dr. Avant and his team and I am confident you will be pleased with the care you receive.
